March is Manga month. And to celebrate the genre that brought me back into reading comics. I’m going to highlighting one series a week.
First is Parasyte. Written byHitoshi Iwaaki and published by Del Ray. It follows the exploits of Shinji a young man who was infected by a space parasite. Most of the time the parasites’s attack the head of their victim replacing it and taking over the body. Shinji got lucky, it only took over his right arm. Now has to come to grips not only with having a shape shifting alien as part of his body. But deal with the rest of the aliens, who now begun to feed on humans.
This is a great action Sci-Fi series, that unlike other Manga doesn’t go on forever( eight volumes in total), and won’t drain your wallet.
