We are now into our second full week of March, the official month for Manga. And I thought we would visit another work by writer/artists Naoki Urasawa, Creator of Monster. One of our former monthly reads.
Pluto: Urasawa x Tezuka
Writer/ Artist: Naoki Urasawa
Osamu Tezuka (Original creator)
Takashi Nagasaki (Plot collaborator)
Based in the Astro boy universe. Where robots and humans are beginning to live together. Someone, or something, has begun to destroy some of the most loved and powerful robots on the planet, along with several humans. The job of figuring out who is killing both man and machine falls upon Gesicht. One of the world’s most advanced robots. Can he figure out who the killer is in time to save the other robots and himself?
If you’re a fan of Urasawa’s work, then you most likely picked this up already. And know how good it is. But if you’re new to his work this is a good place to start.
The only problem is that in America we still have to wait for it to finish. Hang in there, this series is shaping up to be worth the wait.
